Is it illegal for a teacher to force you to swim?

Ok, so, I have a problem. Gym is a required cl in my school and we have to take 4 weeks of swimming. I'm not comfortable with that. For one, I don't want my hair to get dried out. It's down to my bottom and it's lovely now! But chlorine will ruin it! DX Also, I'm not that comfortable with my body... I'm 130 pounds and 5 feet 4 inches tal /: I'm not too pretty... And I'm afraid to swim... )x I have epilepsy; I have random BIG seizures. I talked to my neurologist about this, and she said that 'the coach is required to save me if I spaz'. LOVELY. Oh, and the period excuse isn't going to work, because you're required to make up the times you miss.... /: HELP
