Can I use a 60 amp fuse for an amp that has a 40 amp fuse rating?

Crutchfield Support reccomends i get a 8-gauge wiring kit with a 60 amp fuse included for a Kenwood kac-7204. the amp itself says it has a 40 amp fuse rating. Will a 8-gauge amp kit with a 40 amp fuse work just as well? Is there an advantge to me having having the 60 amp fuse?
